Government agency
Reducing risks by assessment of system quality
This large government agency is responsible for administering everything related to social security payments based on Dutch social security laws. Being the result of a recent merger of six similar organisations in various sectors, the agency faces enormous challenges in reducing the complexity of its systems landscape.
|
For one of the agency’s major systems development and integration projects, DNV-CIBIT IT Consultants was assigned consecutive audits on the systems deliverables, quality and integration. The main objective of this series of audits was to secure the quality of various non-functional aspects of subsystems such as fault tolerance, time behaviour, resource behaviour, degradability, explicitness, analysability and changeability.
A DNV-CIBIT audit team applying the Quint model for software product quality performed these audits. Quint has originally been developed by DNV-CIBIT and other parties, and is based on ISO standards. Quint provides a very structured and balanced approach to this type of audit and DNV-CIBIT IT Consultants audit team delivered repeatedly very helpful feedback. |
