Knowledge-sharing initiatives focussed on groups of European R&D projects in the domain of technology-enhanced learning[
Over the last 6 years, DNV-CIBIT has led two knowledge-sharing initiatives focussed on groups of European R&D projects in the domain of technology-enhanced learning. The most recent action, K2, aimed at the following objectives:- Help the projects to identify knowledge and experiences that are likely candidates for collaboration and sharing (i.e. issues, knowledge gaps, lessons learned, best practice) capture these and capitalise on these
- Optimise knowledge sharing between funded projects by preventing duplication of research efforts and accelerating knowledge creation and distribution
- Support the projects in disseminating the results of their work to a wider (scientific, industrial and public) audience
- Support the emerging community of practice, by means of a virtual community called E-Learning developed in Europe: researching tomorrow’s technologies.

Our interventions with projects were reviewed as thorough, value-adding and motivating. We organised knowledge markets, project debriefs, aimed at collecting lessons learned, brought together professionals in the field in lively knowledge sharing days, mediated in projects where there was a blockage through issue-based clinics and helped disseminate the body of knowledge developed in projects through exhibitions, publicity material and an edited publication of project stories.
Moreover, we created a tailored induction pack that allowed newcomers to the community to understand our practices and to be able to adopt simple knowledge management routines themselves. |
