 Business Intelligence
DNV-CIBIT supports customers that -from a business and/or IT point of view- want to improve their business intelligence. Assignments range from formulating information strategies, designing data warehouses to assisting in the application of advanced analytics, including data mining and text mining. The primary focus in this service line is the translation of IT trends and strategies to architecture and processes for business intelligence, including competence centres, to specific tools and projects. In assignments, our consultants in this service area offer a combination of strong business intelligence expertise and business, managerial and architectural skills.
The group addresses corporate needs that arise from business trends such as corporate governance (Sarbanes Oxley, IFRS etc) compliancy and the need for better and faster information in general. DNV-CIBIT is attracting strong market attention by its established position as the business intelligence thought leader in the Benelux.
Content & Search
Many customers struggle with the management of their growing amounts of (web) content, documents and –increasingly– multimedia sources. DNV-CIBIT is offering its expertise in this field which is also known as ‘Enterprise Content Management’ and which includes document management and digital asset management. We currently provide our services to customers in sectors that range from government to FMCG and (multinational) industry.
Moreover, many customers seek DNV-CIBIT’s assistance to improve the accessibility of existing content and information in general. In DNV-CIBIT’s vision it is pivotal to develop (and keep) a clear view on the information requirements of different ‘information consumer groups’ and to meet these requirements by making an adequate selection out of a vast arsenal of techniques and tools for information retrieval. These include portals, personalization, search engines, management cockpits/dashboards, ‘smart dialogs’ and navigational structures to browse information, using dimensional structures, taxonomies and thesauri.
DNV-CIBIT provides consulting services to information managers, IT managers and business managers in various disciplines. Moreover DNV-CIBIT provides hands-on services by 'knowledge stewards' to create, migrate, maintain and improve the quality of content and information sources and to coach your information professionals in developing their competence in doing so. |

 Consultancy News
In 2004 the group developed and carried out the so-called ‘Business Intelligence Scan’, followed in 2005 by a ‘Content Management Scan’. For each of these scans a group of existing and potential customers was invited to participate in a questionnaire based on maturity models that were also used to summarize the results. Each scan’s result was presented at seminars and publicized, and is available from the company. DNV-CIBIT is providing extra service in the form of ‘strategic assessment & improvement’, including advice and assistance to actually implement the identified improvements. |

 | In the past years, the group has developed in co production with DNV Academy - CIBIT, a number of courses, including the ‘Master Class Business Intelligence’, ‘Master Class Advanced Data Warehousing’ and ‘Master Class Portals and Content Management’.
