Consultant Franka van Alphen introduces herself

Franka van Alphen studied Culture, Organization and Management at the VU University Amsterdam. She completed her specialization ´Management of organisational change´ with the development of a creative intervention and research method for measuring innovation in companies. The ability to innovate is closely related to the way in which creativity, knowledge and skills are developed and applied in an organization. The link with knowledge management is obvious.

Before the changeover to DNV-CIBIT she gained a wealth of experience as a social worker in the care & welfare sector. In her previous position as Case Manager of a number of demolition / new development projects she focused on intervening between complex systems and promoting the interests between groups of residents and the housing corporations, companies and (local) government involved.

Franka is interested in the manner in which people in organizations work, learn and share knowledge. She is particularly interested in cultural issues, stimulating empiricism and designing creative interventions to activate people.
